Oops…
The first of many, I expect.

Happy New Year. Well, it was… I was just manoeuvring the LE around my garage, trying to tuck it out of the way ready for more shelves to go up. I decided to lift the engine-less bike over to one side by heaving up on the rear mudguard (which I’ve done before), when there was a not-so-subtle CRACK from the metalwork! A crack appeared near the right-hand pannier mount. Definitely an ‘oops’ followed by quite a sad face.
On investigation it actually looks like an old crack that I had just re-opened – there is rust on the crack metal edge. Never-the-less, it will have to be fixed at some time, maybe weld, maybe braze, maybe bonding with strengthening plate – TBD.
