Hello and Welcome to Roscow.Net!
Updated 28th Mar 2023

Congratulations! Somehow you've found yourself on the Roscow website...

This website contains a collection of images, pages, links and other stuff relating in some way to the Roscow family. My name is Ian Roscow and I created, develop, maintain and author most of this site. I live in Broadstairs in the county of Kent, England, part of the UK and not far from France.

Just to be clear, this is not about ALL the various Roscow's around this great globe we find ourselves on, but more specifically about the Roscow (and associated related) families that were in Lancashire (UK) in the 17th (and before, obviously) to the 20th centuries and then, via Dennis and Geoffrey Roscow, migrated southwards to the southern counties of England. For that family we have photos and documents going back to around 1570. Most of this was discovered by Geoffrey and Veronica Roscow after they retired in the 1990's and most focus on their family and predecessors, but many photos are also of relations and friends. On Veronica's side there is a lot also from Singapore as that is where her family were living, so some Anguses may find that interesting. There are also references to these families: Gemmell, Vaughan, Hentig, Stilling, Clarkson, Ivy, plus many others. Plus the family photo albums of my wife, Jane, ex Kirkham Estell Cole Keogh. Those photos and documents are only available to those with accounts. If you are part of the family and want to have a look, then please contact me, Ian Roscow, via the usual channels. The link to that information (stored in a Piwigo photo database) is here:

And now I have added a family history database for the family to peruse and edit. It is, like all things here, web-based. This time it is based on the Open Source app, Webtrees. Click here:

There is also my own blog and website on here, and that is publicly viewable, containing various projects like motorcycle and lathe restorations and now windmill stuff! You may find that interesting - I do! That is found here:
